Grey Roots Museum & Archives is an amazing place to visit. With six exhibit galleries, special events, children’s programs, and a Heritage Village to run, it gets pretty busy here. Seems like staff is constantly running to get ready for the next event, exhibit, go feed and water the farm animals on-site, or inspect another unusual artefact donation.
With so much going on, it is often hard to tell all the great stories that we hear about. That is what this blog is about – telling all those stories of the past and present in real time. So every week, we’ll tell one or two of those stories. You’ll see postings from staff and volunteers in all departments in Grey Roots – Heritage Interpretation, Collections, Archives, Visitor Services, Facilities, and Community Relations. As much as the past is important, we might also get a post or two about the future from the Manager of Grey Roots, Brian Manser.
So, check us out weekly on Tuesdays for the latest post. In the meantime, come on over and visit us while the Heritage Village is still open this summer. I’m sure the volunteers in the Heritage buildings could tell a few stories, and especially the guys in the Bluewater Garage. 🙂
